Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you all like it.

Shanemk2 I used a standard 1.8/2.0 flywheel. You can get one from a focus, mondeo or escorts with 1.8 or 2.0L engines as they run 240mm clutch/flywheels.

Ollie

Shocked I haven't updated this this for over a year.

I used two spacers. One CVH and one Zetec.

I had a custom system made in 2.5". Thinking of changing it soon as its a bit loud for my liking now.

Right time for the updates.

Bigger discs and calipers, time to replace my Escort Cosworth brakes.
I decided to fit some nice four pot Focus RS MK1 Brembo calipers with 324mm discs.

After some research I came to the conclusion that I can still keep the 16" size but will need to change to a Motorsport style alloy.
So time to change from my Mondeo alloys

Que a set of 16" ET35 7J Compomotive MO5s.

This is a photo of them fitted for size. (Note rubbish Hero 195/45/16)

I didn't like the colour or the blue caps so I sent them off for acid dipping and repainting.

Much better

Now time refresh the calipers from Ebay.
Full strip down and replacement of any perished rubber seals. (Note old seals in photo)

With some paint and stickers

Bolted back together

Now to fit

Caliper brackets

Focus RS 324mm VS Escort Cosworth 278mm

Discs and calipers fitted

Alloys on ready for a test round the block.

That is it for now, what do you all think?

Yer long time, haven't gone to any meets or shows for over a year.
Do you still make it down to the middlesex meet?
I'm hoping to make Ford Fair and enjoy a nice blast round the Silverstone .

Yep I have some updates.

Over the winter I had all my polished pipes and tanks powder coated matte black. Haven't taken any photos of the new look engine bay just yet.

Also had the car in the body shop over the last week or so.
Some of the updates are
  • Front bumper & Splitter refresh
  • New rear diffuser (Somthing to bring the rear bumper up to the looks of the front.
  • Debadged cosworth Grill (also bumper changed to match grill)
  • Repainted bonnet (lots of small dents and stone chips)
  • painted the center caps black.

What do you all think?

Rear splitter looks pretty cool. What was it off and how easy to fit was it?
