Escort MK5, Area-Six 2.0 Blacktop Zetec Turbo, New Rear Diffuser Page 8
Over the years I have upgraded almost every part on this car.
Gearboxes, clutchs, engine mounts, intercoolers. For the full list of my modifications please check out my Garage.
https://passionford.com/forum/garage...vehicle&CID=33
But the next upgrade will be the biggest yet.
After over two years of 1.6 Turbo I have decided to move up to a 2.1 ZVH. (UPDATE Page 2/3 I have now fitted a blacktop zetec turbo.!!!)
I have a new engine built by Area Six, bigger turbo and bigger injectors to fit.
Tomorrow I am going to pick up the engine so you will have to wait till Saturday night for pictures.
Hoping to get it all fitted on the Sunday/Monday.
Here are some pictures of my car as it is atm.

What a long day.
Well the 2,1 Engine is all in and running.
Here are some pics from last night of the removal of the 1.6 engine.
Will upload some pics of the new engine in tomorrow,
The engine is Alexs old one just rebuilt so will be looking at the same BHP as that was. 250+
EssexMikeSi I have had the car for 4 and a half years. 1st two of them years without a Turbo.
Thanks to Chatter Box AKA Alex for the help today.

It will be running about 20 psi.
I had it running on my old 1.6 turbo at 16 psi with impressive gains over my last intercooler.

After a pot hole killed off my last suspension I decided to upgrade to some coiloves.
Spoke to Ian at Area Six and soon had some Gaz coilovers on order. Thanks Ian Top man.
I went for the MK6 type coilovers over the mk5 as they have a better top mounts design at the rear.
Pics of the kit
The differents from MK5 and mk6 top mounts.
MK5
MK6
All I had to do was drill a hole for the different bolt design. Easy mod to fit mk6 suspension to a mk5.

5mm spacer will get them to et35. Your right tho the back of the car looks a bit funny on et40.
