if you tried it you would want it! plus it helps when the 888's are at 20 psi at the start of the warm up laps.

Ill get some pics for you, just to show off! It lloks like a factory conversion!

I had a few guys yesterday in their scoobies etc wondering why there was a 205 stuck to there bumper

well finished off all the wiring now,
rear hatch just needs a black border painted on to hide the sealer underneath,
need to tighten the wishbones bolts
need to bleed the rear brakes (will do later)
waiting for a water hose so i can fill the car up with water/antifreeze

well took the car out for its first drive monday,
all ok engine holding water
clutch needs slight adjustment
no knocking having the top mounts underneath , though see pic below for reason..lol
however the brakes . fook me i need bigger muscles
i bought a new 90 degree pipe so i can mount the airfilter down out the way, and will box it in, so there is no heat soak from the rad and no splashing from the wheels

ride height wont stay like that, i just raised it so it dont knock, will be lowering it next time i'm out there

looks good mate.

would have thought it would have weighted less eh?

Mines is in the garage just now getting an oil cooler and a fuel swirl pot along with a general check over.

HAd it checked on the rollers on Sat for the year and everything is cool.

Looking forward to a good year on track!

I really expected it to weigh a lot less,as 205's are small enough,French cars are always light in the 1st place, plus you have a load of fibreglass panals.Looks like its as well prepared as ever Spiky! Should go well in 2009.Regards,Micky

ps I enjoyed watching youre later videos (8,9,10) from Oulton Park Jan 17th on you tube, smooth quick driving as always.

i was expecting to weight less, but i have fitted some heavy parts, bigger brakes and cage

took a few months to prepare in it's new spec, but well worth it , fault less again

thanks again for comments on my driving, i always like to drive smooth and get faster through out the day, and in the later vids i really felt i had confidence in the car at the circuit and pushed well within my limits and the cars limits , hence no off's

was expecting yours to weigh a little less than that too dude- but alloy calipers will save a bit and lighter wheels possibly, once you have turned the interior into swiss cheeses you should be somewhere near

mine suffered fuel surge at oulton once it got down to about half a tank so will have to invest in the fuel system- but i am wondering if the pump can cope with the demands of a gti6 when theres less fuel pressure behind it (i.e. half a tank compared to a full one)

either way think i will run a swirl pot and pump and as per spiky as its far to heavy to run a full tank all the time

a diff would also help a lot as i could not get any power down out of the corners and decent tyres and suspension will also help here (mine looks like it has std lowered suspension and was running road tyres)
