It's the round bit on right, the front input cover is machined the. A mount made to give a flat base

Just ordering a quick release pressure line for the clutch so the box can come out without need to drain the hydraulic fluid and no need to rebleed the clutch. Also waiting on the Tilton dude to spec the best possible clutch master cylinder for the 1000 series as I think my 0.625 may not be right?

14mm cylinder gives a nice light pedal, in all my cars I have used these, only available from AP.

Today I got the engine ready to drop out as I want to pull the pedal box and fit a clutch stop, new master cylinder and move the clutch pedal a bit plus it is easier to bolt up the gearbox and check it all sits right so I am sending off the turbo hot side (thanks Mr Shead on the tip to remove) and the down pipe and the exhaust manifold for zircotec coating.

I am going to have the inlet and hart coloured the same to match whilst they are doing it

Quick release for the hydraulic clutch pressure line. For the NEXT TIME the box comes out, no need to re bleed!

This size is dash 3 and titanium only Ł115!!! From competition car supplies.

The gearbox is bolting up to the block nicely without the clutch on, I have a clutch alignment tool but it seems to be hard to set even though the tool and my eyes say it is straight. I might try another tool to be certain but the transplanter has said he will come and help on Friday pm if not bolted up by then.....I expect he will Jedi mind trick it on there.

Yeah but don't need to be. Tilton is expensive but up there with AP for quality.

You don't need the quick release but it is nice to have if you want to pull the box out after having a leak on mine I just wanted to smash the problem with the best bits and this car is all about treating myself to the stuff I want.

Dropped off the stuff for zircotec coating today, 10-15 days and should be back with me....wow, that stuff is expensive. Down pipe, ex manifold, turbo housing on hot side, inlet manifold and plenum comes to Ł625 plus the vat plus Ł15 to ship it back to me so all in around Ł700.

I found the best quality pre-preg lacquered carbon bonnets at spoox Motorsport. Made in UK for them only, uses all original mounting points and saves over 10kg over the normal bonnet...not cheap at Ł1200 but a new bonnet and paint would have been half that for a good auto bulge bonnet. I am thinking of glossy carbon still on inside with heat proof in gold stick on over the turbo and red paint on top but having a stripe or part masked to show a bit on carbon. 6 weeks and it will be ready.

Done another hour on the clutch alignment...I am having a mare and I think I may need to remove the the tilton spacer as it needs 5mm free play to allow for clutch wear but I think it may even be pre-loading the clutch cover a little. I am sure it just needs more fiddling as it all fits up individually....the paddle clutch just seems a little critical in the alignment.

I love the parts going into this.
I would love dry break parts on my hydraulics but just don't have the budget.

For clutch alignment on mine I have a spare input shaft that I've cut off the last foot so I can use it to align the clutch properly. Obviously a damaged one would be good to get hold of?

As for the bonnet, could you get a Peugeot badge sticker and put that on the bonnet, then get it sprayed red, then remove the sticker and lacquer it. That way you would have a carbon emblem on show?
Or get some small stickers made saying dimma cosworth or something and put them angled in the top corner? Or caddyshack? Lol

That is exactly the line of thought I am going down...something subtle. The guy supplying them just has a pin stripe down his bonnet to show the carbon but I like the idea Cosworth 4x4 on there in very small letters!

Not too much money Jay, I have spent it all on this flippin car!

I am hoping that when I am as finished as these things ever are I can put 50,000 miles on it enjoying the thing. I am trying to iron out all of the things that stopped it being a frequently useable car from before, that is hard with modified/ hand built creations.

Yes, I heard about MK and sent him a card today but stupidly made it super sized as I thought he might think that funny but then realised it won't fit through his letterbox so his son may have to go to the post office which is probably the last thing he needs right now....doh! Yeah. That's the bit and I emailed the breakers earlier.

Today I removed the tilton adapter and re-tapped the plate coley made me to accept the tilton which buys me another 10mm. If anyone is thinking tilton then buy yourself as much room behind as possible. I also reflecta gold lined the bulk head.

When you fit together items not designed by an oe manufacturer it takes a lot of measuring before making adapter plates etc.

I have a whiteboard that was full of dimensions when i did mine.

Your doing well, lots of patients lol
