Cheers guys
No catch tank dude, vents to air under the car but seems to be working ok as no loss of oil and it doesn't smoke
Spoke to Martin about a hour ago about some R888's as i need some grip, lol
Not bothered about the wet as it will just stay parked up
Furute plans include some bigger injectors so we can raise the boost but ok for now as its fast enough for the time being.
Hydrolic clutch as the cables are not lasting very long, got 2000miles out the last one
Tremec TKO once the funds allow as used the car for 1 day with some boost and the T5 is whining already, lol
AquariousRS
200 Block
Long studded etc
Knife edged crank
Arrow steel rods
WRC (i think) spec pistons
all balanced with flywheel
3 layer gasket
A1 Rally Sport spec head
A1 Rally Sport spec cams
Swedish inlet
GT35 Turbo
Reyland modded 2wd manifold
Siemens injectors
Pectel T2 Management
T6 Loom modded by Carlooms for the T2
Sure there is more but cant think
Might dig out the big disk kit for the rear and get that on tomorrow if i get time

Thought i would fit the 300mm rear disk kit today that has been sitting around for ages
This is the kit Nuts Rus sells
So wheel off and what we are removing
Old stuff off
The reason for changing
New stuff on
Passenger side done easy as that
Round to drivers side, so same as other side all stripped down.
Start to put the new stuff on and problem.........handbrake cable is too short to allow the caliper on thought maybe i had the brakets on the wrong way so tried the other way which puts the caliper further forward, wasn't happy thinking i was going to have to change the other side round so they are the same though.
Note caliper is center top now
But that doesn't work as the flexi brake lines are too short then
Only way i could see was to un-clip the hand brake cable and move it from the outside of the drop-link to the inside and secure with a cable tie
Bracket flipped round again and all bolted up, think it looks better set back anyway
Job done
Sorry for boring people but it may help if someone else goes to do this

Running 1.6bar at the moment but will be 2bar plus once i change the injectors
Seems a good turbo but i have not really driven the car for a good few years so have nothing to compare it to.
mercury grey minter
You should have popped over and said hello, what car was you there with?
Please don't call my wheels MO's..........It took me ages to find a set of Dymags to be different

Cheers bud
Just wanting to do some tidying up at the minute, will be doing the inside once i get some carpet as not a fan of totally stripped out for road use.
Need to get some gauges as well plus fit the AIM dash display.
Plus need to get the arches modded and a re-paint.......where does it end, lol

The whole car is being painted yes mate.
This is what happens when you have water under the paint and when some welding was done it boiled the water, well so a couple of painters have told me.
The roof and the front wings are bad also but you can only see this when it freezes as it all blisters up.

Andrew from Rawlett?
Was a good mate of mine back.......gotta be 11yrs ago in school, man i feel old now
You got a great 3dr too bud, i know Mark the previous owner
andy escos
There is abit more to be done but its jobs like getting the suspesion set-up and working properly, possibly a 6degree beam at some point and just a tidy up and use it as its been away for along time, the injectors are pretty much maxed out so will be changing them soon but the car is fast enough for the time being.
Jumbo
Dude you know this car has fought me at every oportunity, the amount of things that have gone wrong and not fitted etc has pushed me to the edge at some points, ask me Dad. He had to forcably remove the lump hammer from me when i was going to smash it to bits as i had lost it but im abit more chilled these days and to be honest i couldn't care less about the paint at the minute as i just love driving it, puts a smile on your face, im like a cheshire cat specially on the bypass
Will get the paint done at some point, going to see me mate soon about modding the kit as the tyres are just ripping them to bits when it comes on boost then will speak to me painter bloke to sort something out, im not going for a mega clean car as i want to use it doing track days/Santa pod etc where it will get knocked about anyway.

Well today has been another day of disapointments with the car, decided to go and see Millenium the body shop that painted the car as they put into writing they would re-paint the car for free as a warranty job as the paint is shite to put it nicely.
Well the good news is..........They have gone into liqiudation and are no more
Been to another bodyshop in Nuneaton that have told me just how bad my paint is, Also the reason for all the problems is that the paint used was mega cheap rubbish.
They quoted me £2500 to paint the car and sort the bad bits out and mod the arches, flush the petrol filler cap etc
Anyone got £2500 they wanna lend me

To be honest i was a bit gutted they went bust as it means i have to pay again, but if this is the standard of work its no suprise really.
The guys i spoke to today were telling me that the paint they use is about £90 a litre (dunno if thats good or bad) but it looks like the stuff used is probably about £20/litre, he was also suprised at how many different shades were on the car seeing as it was all painted together and that it is nowhere near Diamond White.
He was saying there is alot of Green in it (if that makes sense?)

This car is really starting to push my patience again to be honest dude now it has sunk in a bit and i have had time to think about it.
I had to have welding done for the MOT which annoyed me a little as i always thought the shell was a pretty good one, now i need to spend another £2500 to have the car all one colour and sort out someone else's mess. I really don't know if i am prepared to spend that sort of money as what i had saved up was to go towards a Tremec Gearbox which i will need sooner rather than later due to the standard one already showing signs its not going to hold on much longer.
So we are up to £5000+ already (gearbox and paint) and my work is telling us we will be losing our bonus soon due to the recession which counts for 26% of my wages so money will be tight so dunno if its worth doing.
