Mine's still MOT'd and insured, only needs tax and its good to go, lol
Cheers pal
Dunno about good update as its a small bit boring but here goes
Arch number 3
Arch number 4
Just needs brushing off
Passenger side floor done
Both floors done
Rear tow eye panel
Quick coat of primer to protect till i do some more
Now before i do any more i was thinking of shot blasting the underside, does anyone know if these cheap kits on ebay or in Machine Marts etc are any good? It is just paint on the floor now as you can see the rubberised sealer is gone so don't need anything mega powerful just the grinder won't fit into all the bits on the rear floor area..

Right guys, not updated for a while as have been trying to get the underside to bare metal to get it all protected and start building it back up.
Originally i bought a full blasting kit and new compressor etc...not cheap and turned out to be a waste of time, fair play to the suppliers they gave me a full refund.
I have since tried for the last few weeks to get the car moved to get the underside blasted but have failed to move the car.
So this week decided to get the grinder back out and do it the long way
Yesterdays work, passenger front arch took to bare metal
After degreasing and "Metal Ready"
After painting with "POR-15"
Rear passenger arch in bare metal and after "Metal Ready" treatment
Just painted, still wet
Fair bit to go

Too much hard work, lol was only supposed to be a quick clean and re wax oil and put it back together, lol
Cheers Luke
Sounds like a plan mate, lol
Yes but cleaning a car you have a end result on the same day not 3 weeks worht of work later, lol
No progress today folks as popped out to sort my daily driver out (find the exhaust leak)
However did collect this from the post office..

Long overdue update but i got bored of writing up about one section at a time so desided to wait till had a good update.
So here goes...
Since last update i wanted to have some time off from griding so spent one weekend putting on some 3M bag sealer
After that it was back to the grinder
Front after bare metal and POR-15
More 3M bag sealer and started on the silver foil heat protection, I went slightly over the silver foil with the bag sealer to get rid of the edge and so water/moisture couldn't get under it
Started on the rear bits
More bits powder coated (Thanks to Ollie L for delivering and collecting these for me)
Rear roll bar
Fuel tank strap
Showing the finish
Had the pair of front roll bars done again as there were marks were they were hung, however this time i supplied some nuts and washers so they could hang them properly
Trailing arms
At the end of today i had finished the rear and got it painted in the POR-15 paint so will hopefully dry over night ready to finish off with the bag sealer tomorrow

This roll bar is only on till i can get the car to Tabetha's mate who is making a custom 22mm roll bar.
I did think of the Escos one but this one im getting will be adjustable but he wants the car to do it so this is temporary till i drive to him.

Todays installment...
Masked off any area's that need to stay smooth and started to seam seal
Thought i'd take a pic of the stuff i have been using incase people want to know what to look for.
3M bag sealer
POR-15
Anyway after the bag sealer
While that was left to dry i thought i'd sort the rear beam and arms out
New bushes off Mike Rainbird
Old trailing arm bushes cleaned up as best as i could
Beam bushes fitted
Trailing arm bushes fitted.
I know alot of people say to run the original Ford or GGR trailing arm bushes but these were ok before and they are only in until i can afford a 6 degree beam so will be fine short term.
Beam back together
And my scruffy helper for the day
Was going to fit the diff into the beam but while covering the input shafts so as not to get grease everywhere we realised that the passenger side input shaft has play in it, i tried to tighten the bolt in the middle but it was tight so this will be going back to Bara on tuesday as i want it right before fitting.
