You must have missed it Pete....see if you can guess, lol
I am currently having a piece off the front of the box modded for centre push hydraulic clutch release and need to drop a bellhousing off to have that modded as well so it fits to the engine.
Gav,
I did miss it yes bud, it's my age you see mate, once you're in your 40s you have selective memory loss....
Stunning box that though mate, no breaking that fooker @ Pod now...

Im never gonna be that old then, lol
Hopefully won't break it mate, if they can take the power like Rod's running i should see no problem with it on my car.......time will tell, lol
Need to get the car running before i think about Santa Pod again but i will be running it as i really want to get a low 11 maybe even high 10s run out of the car.
You were into the high 11s last year @ Pod wasn't Gav from memory??
10s would be awesome mate..... what terminal would you be looking at with that Gav??
Low 12's last year mate, as soon as i got the launch sorted it pretty much killed the box then the following run i pulled the linkage from the box (pulled the bolts out stripping the threads, lol) after that it was a waste of time, think times dropped to 15's as couldn't get gears..
Best terminal with only 3 runs really was 120mph at 1.7bar boost so at 2.2bar once its mapped and with 100bhp of gas i think it should be around 135mph+ ???
Cheers mate and thank you for the info on CYC forum
Little more done over the weekend, although looks like 10mins work was actually about 4hrs
Chiseled out the original seam sealer in the engine bay as it had cracked and looked messy, after a quick clean i resealed it
Cleaned and fitted the floor bungs
Started to clean the rear arch up
Got bored after a hr and a half so moved to the front
That is pretty much spotless bar the original rubber sealer....I have bought the 3m bag sealer to do the whole floor but i want to know if you are supposed to clean it to bare metal before doing that or if it is ok to leave it as i have done????
Its such a boring and soul destroying job mate....will do some more wednesday as busy tomorrow day but hoping that a good week will see it cleaned up ready for sealant.
Do you know if it need to go bare though as the packet just says clean and free from grease and oil??

This is the thinking, as i am only going to do this once.....(never again ) and i want the best finish i can get so may take it back to the primer. Such a boring job though

Only the cock up with the hydraulic clutch positioning that i showed you before......
Need to get the hole drilled in the correct place first and then weld up the wrong one as it will be a mission to cut the hole through the welding if done before, need to sort a rose joint out and sort the clutch pedal out so i can mark the bulk head like you said you did with yours.
what you using to remove the original sealer Gav?
when i did mine i used a big angle grinder with twisted knot wire wheels - the sealer came off soooo easy!
id do it bare before recovering - like you say you want to do it right

Good luck.
bit of hard work never hert any one look at it this way 3 more to go
It hurts when you put your hand in the way of the wire wheel lol

Nice to hear it is giving someone else motivation
I don't mind doing the work as long as i can see some progress, nothing worse than spending a day on it to look at it and think nothing has really been done.
Black area is just factory paint i believe so no point removing
2 arches and 1 grinder down
Could also do with a smaller atachment to get into the smaller area's so will have to pop to Marchine Mart and see what they have.
