ok as you can see from the other pics i have been busy nailing on most of the kit so i can take it down to the bodyshop, heres some pics

i bought some of the stuff off paul harmsworth (3dr rally slag) and crossed the border to wales. i went there initially to pick up the RS500 whale tail and and a 2wd prop. but cam home with a rear bumper, headlights and grill too lol - cheer paul

i think the companys mondeo looked spanking with a 500 tail on it lol

boot full of stuff

and then i got a front bumper off Ebay, and Darren Cudd wanted to make a copy of it so i lent it to him for a bit. turns out the original one was a complete pile of shit

see darrens thread on his xr4x4 race car for the moulding process here https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...er=asc&start=0

anyway, this was the finished result, and its err not the best fit, but not down to darren, its from the shoddy original

just attached at the front

niiiice big side gaps

i manged to get the n/s on, but not the o/s as i couldnt be arsed to get even more soaked by lying under the car with a drill lol

im loving the selotaped on indicators

rear bumper and RS500 spoiler on

overall shot with the bonnet on too.

i didnt try the original mate, it was pissing down and i got pissed off lol

it got the n/s side to go on, but its kinda bowed on the corner, and the bolt didnt line up with the hole on the o/s

ill let the body shop sort it out as no doubt they are more capable than i lol

im wondering how fucked that original may have been it could have been made from a really hot brew so that it pulled like a twat when it was cured it sounds reallt drastic but if it really doesnt fit then you may have to cut it down the middle and remove 10mm then glass it back together. fooking shit way of having to do it though

i did think about that mate, but then the mounts wouldnt line up.

its no the end of the world tho, i had an evo spoiler on my cabby that was for a hatch, chopped 150mm out the middle of the fukka and glassed it back together, it looked ok lol

I have the same car on my drive that i built up using a rover v8 about a year ago, the cars looking a bit sorry for it self after being stored at the rear ov a friends garage workshop for the last year,I am going to run the v8 for the coming year and build something similar to the spec of your zetec engine then take the v8 kit out and sell it on, i am just gonna do it a bit at a time as funds allow, get the zetec engine and build it in the garage proper home brew style

here,s the rough spec

CAR SPECS :- This is all on the cheap as chips rules.

Sierra 3Dr shell stripped and sandblasted suspension and underneath and properly butt\seam welded where needed,

aiming for a look like this:
https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186309

Chassis Components:-
Granada cosworth front disks, calipers \Sapphire cosworth 4 pot callipers
Granada cosworth front Xmember (with TCA's rollbar and PS rack),????
Granada cosworth vented rear disks and callipers,
Granada cosworth complete rear beam (with LSD),
Front and rear Deflex Polly Bush kit,
Braided lines all round...

GEARBOX spec:- HOPEFULLY

Ford getrag Automated manual transmission mt75 gearbox, [TRANSIT]
[Durashift] box

http://www.getrag-ford-transmissions.de/ehtm/prod2.htm
http://www.getrag-ford-transmissions...MT75_ASM_E.PDF

just need to find some more info on them like the bellhousing fitment's for it

ENGINE spec:- STANDARD at first

Series 3 standard 2.0 litre zetec engine and ancillaries from a mondeo or focus at first then upgrade as funds allow to:-

ENGINE spec:- MEDIUM

Series 3 standard 2.0 litre engine from a mondeo or focus upgraded to turbo but still N\a setup engine on low boost using fiesta or escort rs turbo bits on a http://boostperformance.co.uk. cast iron zetec turbo exhaust manifold. so dont have to mess ablout redrilling the zetec intake and exhaust stud bolts.

ENGINE spec:- HIGH

Turbo'd Series 3 2.0 litre engine from a mondeo or focus rebuilt to http://boostperformance.co.uk 2.0 litre spec or similar
86 mm forged pistons.
Full bottom end rebuild with heavy duty bearing shells
full ARP bolt set.

a long way to go but i'm not in a rush just kicking the v8 to death first
