Its a damn shame you've decided not to fix it from your own pocket. I almost killed myself last year and damaged my car, but thought so much about it and decided to repair it. Better than before

So hope you know what you're doing...

if you buy it back i think you should seriously consider just locking it in the garage for a couple months and forget about it,
then when its all calmed down bring it out and decide what to do with it,
as i guarantee if you just break it straight away you will regret it at some point,
been there and got the t shirt,
right now you'll just want rid but you can change your mind in a couple months,
gutter it happened in the 1st place,
after all that work i can understand why you've had enough but thats also why you might regret chopping it later on

Just put it in the garage for a few months then go back to it and reshell it.It such a shame that you have done all this hard work for nothing.

it wont take much to reshell, but findign another mint shell to start with will be the issue. and with the pending baby due any day, i have better things to do.

the shell wont get painted to that standard again now have all the kit blended in etc, the prep work that went into the shell was massive.

i just dont think i can be fucked with it tbh.

at the end of the day, its a car that would very rarely get used. so if i can get an all round motor that can be used for family, and quick enough for fun then maybe that is the better chioce. our family car is on its way out, so needs replacing soon. and i dont think the wife would be too happy if i came home with an elise etc lol

police interviewd them, and they of course still denied it...

but they were very well known to cops, and there was still fuck all they could do!

the other insuarance company are putting things on hold until they have seen a copy of the police report, that i thought had already been released!

so going round in circles getting nowhere at the mo mate

yes mate, in a way it was. i started building that car a couple of years before we had our first child. original plan was a year to build but it snowballed and took 5 and half lol

i got it going one week before the birth of our second and tbh, if it was still here it would be sat in the garage having been used on probably one track day lol

so a bit of waste of time and a fuck load of money in the end

i got almost back what i personally put into the car, so i guess its not too bad overall.

thing is, the extension we are having done has also snowballed lol, the wife wanted a conservatory, i said fuck that....

if its not one thing, its another lol. still, at least the whole family etc can enjoy a much bigger house

Just dragged this up lol. The insurance and solicitors side of it has now finally come to and end, so providing i dont have to go to court to give evidence against the pikey cunts, this is one chapter of my life i can move on from!

Ps the house isnt that far off lol, and its not even been a year yet

Why? I still often get asked things about the car, so give people the link to the build so they can get some ideas, or answers to their questions.

So its still handy to have around
