few more engine mods - supercharged zetec
just had a few more things done:
-snow performance water/methanol injection system
-bigger crank pulley for more boost (this is working VERY well indeed!)
-ARP conrod bolts
-adjustable cam gears
-lightened flywheel
-black diamond uprated clutch
-bored out the hole much bigger in the inlet manifold where the throttle body is
-42lb injectors
-oil separator and catch tank
-big cold air feed to cone filter
-finally got the nitrous system hooked up with 25bhp jets
its booked in for a chip remap on 14th january so i will post up results and power curve graphs etc. also getting the cam gears set up properly at the same time.
its MUCH quicker than before (now on 10-11psi instead of 7-8psi), but i am not driving it flat out just yet until the remap. i had a dabble of the nitrous last night and bloody hell it doesnt half kick in even with just the 25bhp jets
also it is alot louder than before, presumably because theres more air going through. it sounds completely mental with the nitrous activated

the nitrous system (and virtually all the work) was done at www.powerandperformance.co.uk near norwich
theres a video clip here when it was on lower boost but it illustrates the sound very well indeedhttp://www.percybigun.co.uk/mondeo1/NOS_MONSTER.wmv

it was 207bhp at flywheel (without nitrous) before these new mods were done when it was on low boost. once its remapped and had the cam gears setup, it should be 230-240bhp without nitrous.
the supercharger kit costs about Ł1300 shipped, its the one from www.jacksonracing.com for ford focus but i got it from www.importcarpartsplus.com for cheaper.
right click and save target as on the video link.

15K+ Super Poster!!
How much did the conversion cost you to do? I was looking at doing a supercharger conversion on the 2.0 Zetec I have in the garage.
What sort of power out put are you expecting too?

cold air feed goes under it. few more plans like maybe a intercooler, headwork etc.
as it is now it should be round about 240bhp (flywheel) plus nitrous.
the conversion cost about Ł700 at www.powerandperformance.co.uk but add to that the cost of management, bigger injectors and some other bits.
makes a change for something like this to not be in a focus, sierra, fiesta or escort lol

car sounds cool
how you gonna do that tho? supercharger is mounted directly on the inlet manifold isnt it?
to fit an intercooler would mean fitting the charger somewhere else, major work.
IMO you will be able to keep charge temps in check (and therefore maximise power) with water injection alone.

yeah thats what i thought but there is somebody making a way round it here:
http://forums.focaljet.com/forced-in...sign-here.html
anyway i had my car remapped, cam gears setup etc at engine advantages on saturday. it made 230bhp at flywheel without nitrous, and 257bhp at fly with a 25 shot of NOS.
water injection aint working properly yet, but should be easy for me to sort out.
dyno sheet here (right click and save target as, or copy and paste to browser)
