Default Nissan 200SX

Bought this last week. It came in for scrap and i saved it. its FAR too clean to scrap, i think someone got bored or didn't know what they had. Needed a waterpump and a battery. It went straight through the MOT today, needed a couple of bulbs after standing 3 years thats it! I'm thinking of selling my jag after owning it only a few weeks, not really my kind of car but this is something i can tinker with
It has some spec to be fair. not alot but something to start with. 1991 200SX 1.8 turbo, boost gauge inside along with a greddy boost controller.
Massive front mount intercooler, its about 2" thick! not like my usual RST territory .
some generic cone filter,
stainless exhaust, unsure of diameter but it is straight through.
lenso RS5 18" wheels with nankang tyres. one is scrap hence the standard wheels on the back but the other lensos were in the boot. score!
Seibon carbon bonnet and boot. ebay reckons these are £650 a pop new plus £50 quid deliver each FUUUUCCKKK that!

I dont know whether to add a few drift style stickers and smoke about in it. but i have 2 issues with this. no1. Police. I'm a HGV driver and my license is my life. i'm no idiot driving but dont want to cause uneccessary attention. 2. I'm a fraud. i dont want to be driving a legit drift car when i can't drift. my 1600 crossflow cortina isn't the same :-/

Opinions please?
How i bought it.

Jetwashed to make it more presentable for the MOT

Plan is to polish it up properly now (i didn't want to get too involved in it until if was MOT'd), get that carbon looking back to its best.

Joe.

As above. I believe drifting can be a good laugh as a driver, i'd get stocked up on partworns, get the diff checked to see if its locked and go skid. Prob best off starting on a DWYB day first, a few people round my way go streeto on an evening, can hear them from where I live.

good fun cars mate, i bought a £600 shitter of one off ebay, was a k reg and rusted to fuck!

good fun for the 6 months i had it, and as it was disposable i was learning to drift in it... stuck it through the odd hedge or 2 lol....

coild packs go regualry on them, and the one i had burnt a valve but i bought an engine off stav off here back in the day for £50

i also rebuilt the turbo myself as it smoked like a twat...

i kept up with a bmw 330D to 145mph before it started to pull away lol

proof? ok lol

ended up selling it to big al off here i think it was

this is th eonly pic i have of it, about to start taking the engine out and it fucking snowed...

8 hours later and freezing cold it was done

I appreciate the replies, kinda always liked these bit would never have looked to buy one. It just came along . After the mot and water pump it still owes me just under 500 quid so I'm happy with that tbh I could've sold it 5 or 6 times already but I do fancy a bit of fun in it. Don't worry I won't be sticker bombing it im 26 btw. The engines sound on tbh, 94k and the last time it was taxed was 2009. When it came in I fitted a battery, turned it over and it fired up . Happy days. If it blows up it'll be back on the stack waiting for the crusher lol

Oh, also, don't be a penis and turn up the boost too far, too many CA's have been killed because people think they can run silly boost on a tired one!

Lucky fella, even if it has a slipper mig spec it if your on about doing a few drift days. Nothing worse than a weak lsd when ya trying to drift. Use good oil in it as they are known for blowing the big ends out.

Ok stupid question, how do I know if it has an LSD? Is it like the RS turbos? Jack it up and see if the wheels turn the same way? And it's got a greddy boost controller fitted ive been reading up on them tonight, they're clever bits of kit. Got hi and lo boost settings with safety features built into each so you don't blow stuff up I've been looking on SXOC this evening too for cheap ideas and general background on them. With what people pay for them and the condition of them I definitely got a bargain. Well chuffed

RE: the LSD, yep that's pretty much it! If it's open, get it welded! If it's not...get a welder.

Worst case is that it goes bang, either SR20 it or strip/scrap to recoup your money.

I fitted the rear alloys today after getting a tyre and jacked it up and it has an LSD ill get some pictures of how it looks now in a few days as I took the interior out , carpet was stained and smelled minging. So I scrubbed and rinsed it and its drying off. Same with the boot carpet . Seats I'm gonna give the once over too whilst they're out and I've got some wiring bodges to sort and a radio to fit. As soon as the log books back though it'll be straight on the road.

Those wheels suit it well. What size are they? 18" can't justify it anyway tbh, i need it to remain a cheap build so I can afford to break it without crying

They all have an LSD.

Sort the suspension and brakes out and they make a very good budget track car just keep an eye on the rot underneath.
