Sorry to jump in on your thread Matt, but I was at a bird sanctuary place up near where I stay called World of Wings and I took a few photos, thought you might appreciate them!

They did a flying display and he had a wee dead chick on a lure thing he swung around to get one of the falcons to try and catch it. He said they can dive 1000ft at 180mph!! He said it was only doing about 90 that day though because of the wind. Some speed though!

Aye there quick mate .. Mine will range around 1200ft up and will hit over 200mph for the kill lol..

When I'm out and about in the van it's mostly in the countryside and I always see different birds of pray but don't have a clue what they are, that's what spurred me into going there. Still don't know what they are as it was absolutely freezing and we hadn't wrapped up the best so were getting round it pretty quick. Ill go back up another day when it's warmer as they said they would usually put more birds out for flying but as it was cold they restricted themselves to 3. Good place though, supposedly the biggest in Scotland.
