male to male adapters on the original filter (new) to accept -6 fittings
if the latter.. what is the thread size on a std fuel filter for an esc cos?

Is an Esc Cos filter the same as a saff?
I just use a standard ones with the adaptors to make it ready to take -6
If yuo're going that way, you'll be wanting two M14 to -6 adaptors. Careful which way you screw them in, as M14 and -6 are almost identical in size and pitch.

M14 is fine for the larger hole on the fuel filter, and i have this now
but the other end is a smaller thread / hole
can someone give me that size please???

As you have prob found out Ecos filters are different from Saph I believe...
The other side may be M10, take yer old filter to B&Q and try a few bolts in it till you find the right one
