cleaned the gti today
didnt have much on today so i washed , and clayed the old escort, car is still in good nick for its age, really needing to raise the coilovers up a bit as the alloys are catching on the front when cornering a little too hard. and rubs at the back when 4 are in the car.
back arches are needing attention now, rust starting to appear
needs a new jacking cover and towing eye.
quite happy with the car just now , i got it for pennys really and the engine is still great and uses no oil or water.
comments welcome.

Looks spot on, cant beat the rs7 spokes on a mk6 escort, stance is spot on too as you said though probably not very practical for everyday useage.
My civic is probably just a tad higher all round but still looks decked, can get people in the back no probs but scrapes abit on full on lock, but not very often i need full lock
I see theres a few bits that need attention on yours but not bad for a car of that age.
I had a 5door black gti about 3-4years ago, was a good motor and got me everywhere, had to have both arches replaced aswell which cost me about 380 quid, good motor though.
P.s you said you washed it and clayed it? could have dried it after though? lazy sod

Seen this car in the flesh many times, albeit a few years ago now.
Stick with the smoked headlights, they're really quite rare now.
Wheels are perfect for this car. Fantastic looking car, would be perfect with a mild Zetec turbo engine. Proper OEM+ look. Would be like a series 3 RS Turbo if Ford had made one.

cheers mate, gonna get it looked at soon as i have some extra money, catch the rust before it gets anyworse. it had tinted windows before i had the car aswell, but i think they must have been too dark and been ripped off. the car just basically needs a good tidy up. the interior is still like new.
