Default 94 XR2i 1.8 16v - Just bought.

Hi Folks,

I wasn't looking to buy this but I was up at a friends garage/lockup at his Grandmas farm and he showed me this sitting in a garage where it had been since 2008. My first thoughts were it was going to be rough, it was covered in dust but everywhere I looked I thought "this is mint". Anyways a few weeks past and I got a text from him saying he was thinking about selling it. He took it out the garage and gave it a quick wash and I went up for a look and a deal was done. It's in amazing condition, it's totally standard, no mods atall. Its got a full documented service history. All the original handbooks, brochures, all 3 keys (wallet key card), everything is there I've never seen a history like it. Im going to use it everyday at the minute but that will soon change when the weather gets worse. Itll get put in the garage with the escos for the winter.

It has been showed and was a XROC car. Anyone know the car?

Not the best pictures but I'm sure you'll see how clean and standard the car is. It's not in my driveway either, wonder if anyone will recognise where the pictures were taken.

Very jealous, I had the 1.6 XR2i and I loved it but it wasn't nearly as nice as that.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah it is Lambchops pad. I'll paypal you Ł1 send me your details in a PM lol.

Not saying what I paid but what would you say it's worth in that condition? It's about as good as a mk3 fiesta as you'll without being fully restored recently.

does it have Dunfermline Autocentre plates mate?

I'm 99.5% sure that car used to live down here in Dunfermline - a guy round the corner from me was a Fiesta XR nut and had a concours silver mk1 XR2, concours grey mk2 XR2 and then a practically concours black mk3 XR2i 16v - i chapped his door one night when I was selling my XR2 and we ended up chatting for an hour lol

Lovely example either way, always wanted a silver XR2i 16v!

That looks immaculate! Haven't seen one as clean and standard like that for years.

Who would have ever thought an XR would be sitting on Chop's driveway - we all know how much he like them afterall
