Default New (none ford) daily runner

Can't believe i've done it, but i bought a Jap car!?

My reasons, before i get abused.
A) cossie has blown up, going to be ages before its on the road again, and a 306 diesel just wasn't enough fun to keep me entertained until then.
B) I want to rev the back end out of something, and have a rev limiter. (im a kid!)
C) I want something that i cant drive to a track day, do the track day, then drive home.
D) i wanted a 5 door again, soooo much handier.

So, introducing my 8.5k revving rover 45, sorry, i mean honda civic.

170 tatty Japanese horses

Nooo, only does about 2mpg now! Dont want to make it worse! lol
Probably doesn't help that it lives at 8.5k at the moment.

If you can afford to run that as a daily, a turbo'd VTEC you'd be able to run on loose change

may of exaggerated slightly!
Seems to be very good on fuel when driven gently, i just can't drive it gently, the noise is a touch addictive!

Had 2 of them in the past. Sound wicked with an induction kit. I had a set of konis on mine and it handled alright.... come with an LSD as standard too

I bounced both of mine off the rev limiter everyday for 30k+ miles and never had 1 bit of bother with either of them. Just keep an eye on the oil level daily as all VTECs drink the stuff when reving them high.

Oh i think i will go back, uses about as much fuel as the cossie this thing does, mainly because it spends most of its time at 8.5k though.
306 looked awesome this morning mate.

already a member on there, not been doing much with either of the cars at all lately, spending too much time/money on bikes.
