My latest Xr2...
Thought it was time to stick up some pics of my latest Xr2, as had it about a month, and finally got it the way i want it.
I had the red xr2, with a full cage, 40's etc...road legal trackcar, but the novelty wore off very quickly so i swapped my brother for his black xr2. He bought it from a user on here, in Birmingham and it was a bargain. We brought it home, but after a week or so i managed to swap my bro and that was that. I wanted to tidy her up a bit, add my own touches and thats where iam just now.
Since getting her from my brother, i lowered her more, now sits approx 60mm lower with jamex springs and g-max shocks.
I removed the spotlights, rear window wiper and added a smaller front number plate. I also hate clear light so promptly put the orange indicators back on and i think she looks good at the moment.
The doors have a couple of dings, and the tailgate has a small bit of rust forming under the windo rubber however have mint re-placement panels lined up so will all get painted and fitted at same time to complete her, also have a orginal ford sticker set for new tailgate.
Under the bonnet is the orginal 1600cvh, with a uprated air filter, sports cam and ashley 4 branch and full system. Had the car on Ava's rollers and the guy was really impressed with the engine and said it ran fine, nothing to worry about. It was 5 Bhp up on standard which is fine. The cat runs great and eats up local saxo's and corsa so that ideal, but most importanly can be used daily with no worries, unlike my red one...lol.
Next up, the pots are off for re-furb and thats about all for now, so enough ranting, here she is....
