Hi mate they are hand made using mesh and liquid metal and just use a standard sunstar saloon car model but a few people are not liking me models but hey who give a s--t

phill i think the vans look great mate and with every new one you do they get more and more detailed .
there is a market out there for these types of modded models as your mk2 escort van proves on ebay at the moment .
i think the yellow mk5 escort van you have done is one of the best i have seen to date.
i have said this before ANY model is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
some sell better than others , thats just how it is .
there's a couple of modders on here who's work would sell for a fortune if listed on ebay .
but they choose to build them for there own collection which i think is very rare these days as most are just out to make money on what they build.
i say keep going with them mate , take all praise and criticism on board and use it.

 

i think you should list the yellow mk5 van on the bay mate
open auction , see what it goes for .
i think you will be supprised at what it sells for and dont think it would be a lot less then your asking price tbh.
i think a lot of the buy it now prices put people off when you start getting into treble figures as they are not sure if its worth that amount , but they normally reach it anyway.

 

matt , think you should post up some pics of your modded models over on the other thread for us mate as i am sure you have more than any of us lot put together with the exeption of jason....lol

PJvanman i think what escortoldskool originally said was meant purely as constructive criticism, and it just got out of hand. your models are very well done, the finished product is excellent compared to some models you see (including your first few) however he was just pointing out that a little extra detail goes a long way although i do think stfordlover was pretty rude, he could have got his point across easily without coming across as a bit of a twat..

 

constructive criticism should be a positive thing but there is no need to be rude. people point out things to me and it does help me improve on next project.

they do fetch a premium on e-bay get on there site ans sign up for there club its free plus you can reserve them so their under 40 euros plus postage i suspect there will be another colour in the 309 launched it was a really popular model i got 2 but i gave one away as a christmas present to a mate ive known since school he used to ghave a 309 gti and we used it to go to my wedding in (at high speed we were nearly late)

I went to a model fair today to see if they had any 1-18 cars but it was mostly trains and buses. there was one stall and it had this capri Ł35 quid, it was this price because it had a little black plastic bit missing of the back it was boxed to i did think about buying it but i didnt, now i wished i did lol.

phat c mate you can only post parcels 2nd class up to 1kg after that it first class or standard parcel!! the only models i can ever get away under 1kg are solido and i cant remember the last time i posted a model second class as there to heavy i post 50/60 a month so there talking crap

 

guys the way i feel about this is some of us mod for profit some for fun if you make a model and you like it dosent mean every one else will as long as you are happy with it be happy. as soon as you mod for profit as i and a few others do on here. people are very critical of the detail of models and if it diden,t have a bit here and did have a bit there people will be quick to tell you so when your asking a lot of money things have to be spot on. if you ask for people thoughts you need to take them on the chin and not start calling names and using bad lanugauge. dont ask if you dont want to know. there is a arse for every seat so some one will love them like you do. keep at it mate they will get better we all had to start some where
