i envy all you guy's with your models , i dont have anywhere near the amount most of you do .
its mainly down to the fact i only really collect fords.
at the last count this is what i have.-

wish i had room for a lot more but they are all kept in my study/office at the rear of the house which with all the stuff were producing is getting tight.
will be building a fully equiped workshop 8 mtr's x 2.5 mtr's in the spring/summer to replace the shed i have been using at the moment.
then i will be on the lookout to increas my collection quite a bit more if the wife dont divorce me first......lol

yes the tailgate will open and close when it's finished just got to figure out how I'm going to make it lol it's going to look like my own road car in my sig when it's finished,only difference is the model will be finished 1st with the cossie lump as havnt got the money to finish my road car conversion yet lol

i done a mk3 estate with opening tail gate and he has it to mess around with am sure he will pm you some pics of the rear end so you can do it i used all the original parts aswell

Yeh I will be interested mate should hopefully be in a week or so,will they be mk3 style rear lights and how much meat will there be on them as the mk4 escort rear lights are smooth unlike the mk3 that have steps in them,doesn't matter about them being clear as I will just paint the insides of them

yeh I'm going to use part of the original tailgate for the hinges but where I've cut the car about the tailgate sits inside the pillars even at the widest point so just got that to figure out so I can get it sitting like a proper estate tailgate sits

 

i can do them smooth if thats what you want mate no probs

i had a mk2 strada 1300 hatch nippy little thing till i blew the gearbox up wouldd keep up with a contempoary 1600 astra of my mates

 

brother had a morris minor with the fiat strada arbarth 2.2 dohc twincam engine with twin 45dcoe's fitted and that went like a rocket used to eat the rs turbo's....lol

another model i would like would be the series 1 fiat uno turbo , now that was one quick 1300 cc car and still holds the fastest hot hatch title of that generation . you could stand there and watch them rust but fuck me they were quick.
too many people used to get them mixed up with the later 1.4 version that was a lot slower imo.
