The wheels look so wrong on that model what i would like is a MK1 AVO with rims like this

with proper rims !

yep there rare as is the rx7 fourtunately i also have the mcrae / senior car too but thats going no where its signed !!

 

The wheels are without a doubt are very high quality, but in scale terms the tyres look very small (almost as though its on its rims without tyres !) the yellow escort at the top looks superb , but needs higher profile tyres..just my opinion..maybe something like this ....

 

i agree i have some for my forth comming capri mk3 projects they willl be using there original tyres

 

After seeing one with these wheels the other day, thought I'd do one.

 

the tyres we supply are low profile but the original tyres from your escort rims will fit giving you the tyre profile you are after.
in pic below are low profile tyres supplied on front and the original mk2 tyres that come with the model.

you can see why we supply them with low profiles as the person buying them already will have the standard tyres so it gives u the option of whatever you prefer.

i was gonna take all the decals off but now ive seen it in the flesh i think its spot on the way it is, just gonna see if ive got some nismo decals for the wheels

Like the look of the Rs rims with the different profile tyres but i think the ones they come with give the Escort's a meaner stance

 

I do like the low profiles to give that "Sarf london" look to the mk1s


Some have said they look like 185s rather than 175s but i like how it looks anyway lol
