lol nah in all honesty the ones you do where you can tell youve put a bit of time and effort in are usually top notch, but even you have to admit you do the same mods to the same car over and over to make a few quid arent quite as good

What really does my nut is people who sell the 240z jada minilites for 30 quid when they came off a car that was 6.99

Or when cars bodged like some off mine are an people sell em on you just shouldnt do that.

Yeah its a replica of my mates 22b which we raced around nurburgring in Germany & achieved a lap of 8.17 which is amazingly quick. very sweet fast car. I will post pics up of it

cool that the wheels suit it down to a t,
see the inside of the aluminium exhaust? what i do is drop a bead of black paint in when its standing on end and let it dry, that way it looks like its properly hollow if you know what i mean.

 

The exhaust is black in middle if you look down it but you can't see it at that angle

 

also heres a little tip for people who do numberplates on the cars;
go onto http://www.craigsplates.com/order/order.php and set up your reg plates etc, print screen them when you get what you want.
put it in photoshop and crop it, (i took out the www.craigsplates.com bit aswell and put RS owners club on my sierra etc) then copy it into a 400dpi document, reduce them to


27x7mm for oblong plates and 18x11mm for square ones, then print out in HQ onto glossy photo paper.
the photo paper is thickish so its a little bit more realistic,just use a tiny dab of superglue and stick em on

bad pics but only ones ive got wher you can see them;




this way you get the right font and spacing etc, also american and jap plates are rougly the same size as square UK ones so just do a bit of copy & paste from google images like this

 

sweet i love that 22b decal dynamics does do awesome decals the colours and quality are spot on he dont come on here very much now he was after the valvoline escos of me that you got mate last time i heard of him seen a few of his decals on ebay like

Come on everyone, surely we all enjoy the models (buying and building), the best thing is sharing tips, parts etc as most of us do.
For example I started making the BBS split rims which others now copy, so great one of my ideas is being used.
Also I have decal sets for RS1600i, MK1 Mexico, RS Turbo, RS1800 etc, I dont mind doing these for people as long as they cover my costs (decal paper £1.50 plus post etc), if it means we all help each other thats a good thing and more and more ideas can be shared.
I do like all the models others make as there are some great ideas and models made

i think the problem is that sometimes there is some top quality models on ebay that don't fetch what they should.they have had alot of time and effet spent on them getting the fine quality details correct . eg the right graphics not poor ones which are not the same as original cars.this does pi55 alot of people of as there is always some real sh1t cars going for alot of money with the fine details being poor and not done correctly.
i have sold a few cars on ebay and have used the money to fund future projects.thus the hobby is not costing me nothing except my time. i think rs2000dude this is why people make coments about your cars as the amount you sell it looks as if this is a job and not a hobby for you.yes it maybe a hobby as well as a job but this is were i think some confusion is.

as for decal dynamics i have not seen al his decals but if this is were you get yours from then i don't think his can be the best!! i only say this as i noticed that the last mexico car you sold the graphics were not same as the original mexico's also the rs2000 graphics are not exact copies of original.
maybe his decals are the best but untill i see them .

everybody's moddified cars are original in there own way.theyare all based on real cars so in fact we are all coping ford,subaru,etc.. not each other.!!!

Point taken; I believe some of my models do well because of a few factors; plenty of close pics, expensive aluminum wheels are used, mostly rare discontinued models which are converted to be more unique; well described & the main one is i am posting WORLDWIDE!....majority of my buyers are from overseas & if my items are ever come back on there this is due to a non paying bidder which i am sure you lot must have come across at some point & i mention there user name in my listing as a 'named & shamed'
My models do not always sell for that much either but know one ever says anything about that do they??....lancia delta the other day sold for just £27, autoart porsche gt3 rs in orange only did £66 so as model fans like yourselves you will know how much these models are to buy as standard & i have not made much It is just a hobby that i have plenty of time to work with.

mentalistdave; i would like to use some of your decals & see the quality of them as you seem to rate them quite highly, do you have any forsale at the mo? a direct supply may be useful as it can be tricky getting hold of decal-dynamics sometimes.

to be honest i don't have that many decal designs at the moment as i have only just started doing them for my own cars to get them finished. i do have all the rs owners sunstrip/taxdisks and iam currently working on some mexico's which if i get off here i can crack on with lol!!!
they are taking there time tho as iam doing them from scratch and want them to be exact copies.i will post a pick up here when i have them finished.
otherwise i have : series 1 turbo sets, rs500 sets,and all the stuff on my pics i post on here. and yes the quality is good and they are exact replica's.

mate do what rapid 3dr said get an old car ariel from the scrappys the push in metal ones and cut it down in sections im gonna get 1 or an old radio control car ariel of the hadn part and cut that down yhat way you just cut off the original tail pipe and glue that on and it loks perfect with the rest of the exhaust and you can choose the length and bore size as the get larger as the ariel gets furthur down if you get me and looks awesome see for yourself
