Default Sky Insurance

Gave them a call earlier after seeing them mentioned on here a few times, the quotes I'd had from other companies weren't too bad but thought nothing ventured etc....
Anyway, they managed to quote me £450, best I'd managed to get before was £480, so not a massive saving but its a saving all the same.

your lucky mate, i was with them 2 years ago, got an alternative quote just to keep them on their toes and it was cheaper than sky insurance by £30.

when i called them to discuss it, they said they were too busy to talk to me on the phone without looking into their quote and could they call me back, not a problem, they never called me back. i tried calling them a further 2 times to try and discuss it out, but they never sorted it out.

they lost me as a customer, purely cause they couldn't be bothered to call me back, crap service.

good luck mate

They wouldn't even give me a quote for the ST. Been driving since 99, full NCD and only 3 points. Apparently its due to my post code but that causes no problems for any other company

At least you got it a bit cheaper though.

"Due to the nature of your risk, online quotes are not available at this time. There are other specialist insurers who may be able to provide online quotes."

How the hell insurance companies think I am a "risk" is beyond me! Never had an accident or claim since I started driving with full NCB. The world of insurance is nothing but a frustrating rip off!

Well, as an example, we ran the other half's son's quote through compare the market on Sat night, and dropped a GRAND!! £££ off what was typed on his renewal.
Yeah, he' only 18 so it's a minefield, but he still got no points, and it's only a 1.3 fezzer. And tbh the premium is still 4 figures, but that's FC

Robbing cunts the most of them, no hope whatsoever of getting renewal business cos they butt fuck you every chance thet get.

Being honest they have been the cheapest for me and my dad on both cars we have had. Although I was promised a phone call back off the regarding a quote and they didn't bother!

I have no idea how helpful they are if you need to claim but they have been good price-wise for us.

Gavin.

I guess it depends on your circumstances. I was told the problem with my insurance by 1 firm was my post code but when I asked other companies they said it was fine.
Guess the industry just likes to arse rape people and make you pay more for other people's cock ups. Not exactly the best way to do things if you ask me.

Carl,

Sorry, at that particular time our systems could not match you up with a specialist modified car insurer from our panel that covered risks in the FY postcode area. We are actively talking to a number of providers who will cover this area and I will let you know asap if anything changes.

Cheers,

Jonny

I was only getting a quote out of interest, not due till next april so will try again then and more than likely be made very disappointed by the insurance industry.
£880 a year I have to fork out at the moment. Absolute joke.

Carl,

I have just spoke with Greenlight Insurance and they should be able to cover your risk.

If you let me know I can get one of their top sales guys to contact you directly with a competitive quote.

Thanks,

Jonny
