Default WTF HAVE I DONE ERST HELP NEEDED

Done a service on my erst today. Changes oil, oil filter, fuel filter, plugs, leads, rotor and cap

And now i cant get the thing to start. Chacked i have the leads in the in the right plug in the cap took um out and started again and still cant get it to go.

Any ideas. Gotta drive a fair way in it tomorrow to. Also every so often it makes a huge bang out the back of the zorts when its turning over,

Are you sure you've put the leads back on in the correct firing order?

have you turned it over to let the fuel filter fill up .

Its probably because you changed the fuel filter. Prime the pump a good few times (ingnition on, but don't start, then off for a while then repeat a few times) My old turbo was the same - twas a bastard to start after it ran out of petrol or when i changed the filter.

got my service book out to check the leads. i will try a bit more fuel. lol

Dizzy cap on correctly? IIRC they go on both ways, but only one is correct (unless it's XR3i I'm thinking of) Try turning through 180 degrees.

i had them supplies by oj motorsport. i would be well pissed if they were wrong. Man i need to get this thing started.

1342 the firing order is of the leads

does sound like the leads are on wrong though

I know that is deffo for 3i, don't know if it for RST aswell tho.. Worth a shot tho!!!

Last time I had a problem that sounds like yours (turning not firing, then BANG) it turned otu to be the rotor arm thingy, changed it and presto, worked fine
