Default can a YB lump be linered?

as per title really, say i had a cracked bore, would it be possble to have it machined out and have liners fitted? how much would this cost if it is possible? would you do just the cracked one or all 4 ?

You can liner a block, but if its cracked bad enough to allow flex, a liner wouldnt fix that.

you can do just one if you want

right, so what would be involved, havingthe machined bore opend up, and i take it you can buy YB liners to any spec, ie, std bore, +1 over size etc so that i could use my original pistons, maybe fit just new rings..?

you can rebore it after the liner is fitted to get exactly the correct piston to bore clearance for your pistons.

You wouldnt be able to just rehone, it wouldnt be round enough to being with, you would have to bore out to the next size and then hone, but i wouldnt want a welded cast block anyway.

I tihnk you are clutching at straws TBH mate, the smart money goes on a new block, or just a secondhand complete engine and sell the parts from yours!
