Default Import Duty from the States

Does everything get import duty added or can you buy upto a certain amount without suty

Wanna get one of these there £40 here or just under £19 there just wondered was the import duty would be if any

Could do with one of these myself mate, bluefin want £50 for the pleasure of stopping that little orange light coming on!

Don't know bugger all about import duty though, just thought I'd BTT it anyway!!

if you e-mail them and ask nicely then they will write on the box that the contents are replacement parts. That way you should not pay duty on them!!

If they are sent by USPS [US Postal Service NOT UPS] you will not get clobbered with import duty but any other courier acts as your customs agent and then bills you before releasing goods. IF the company will state that the goods are replacement/warrenty parts or are a sample you dont pay duty.

Cam - i think you do mate as they are part of ParcelForce worldwide! I had to pay taxes on my Intercooler!

i bought a t shirt from the US and never got charged how much would I pay 17.5% ??

I should have also mentioned that USPS expidited services come through ParcelForce so only use regular USPS delivery. The 5-7 Day USPS service has never charged me any import duty on over 60 deliveries.

they want 31.10 dollars to ship it so might aswell just buy it from the UK

sometimes you do. sometimes you dont.

its normally 17.5% vat. then 3.5%duty fees, then 3%(ish) handling fee
