Default iPod Nano, who owns one?

I picked mine up yesterday courtesy of the companies xmas bonus, and how cool are these

Ssound quality is spot on, I heard bad things about iPod earphones, so was ready to replace them once home with my Sony ones, but I think my Sony ones aren't as good to be honest.

All I would say though, and this follows a report from http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/09...no_scratching/ - be carefull with the screens and body, they are prone to scratch very easily.

I went for black, which unfortunately shows up more than white if scratched, but hey, I didn't fancy the white as every1 has white, thought black looked slick and different.

Over and above all, very good piece of kit, and a joy to own

Everything about them feels quality.

You can get some pretty good cases for them too, so you don't scratch yours.

Yea, feels solid for the size.

Well since the law suit with Apple, they are no wkindly slipping into the packaging a small leather type wallet, to help protect it, the earlier ones never had this.

But the care needs to taken when cleaning, if you get fingerprints on the screen etc

A simple wipe over with your t-shirt or cloth, can leave lines of scratches, so I've been warned to jsut take it easy when wiping away any marks.

But, at the end of the day, don't wanna let that ruin the fact that I wanna use the damn thing without being scared shit of marking it, it's there to be used so...

Yea, I'm in the search for a pack of cases, I'd like the rubber jacket ones with screen protector...

I'm bit lame when it comes to owning loads of music, I only have 3,000 tracks, 16gb's worth. Wud have got it all onto a 20gb iPod, but I'd never listen to it all, so wud appreciate albums more if they were on the Nano, hence my purchase.

And when I've had enough of the selected few, I'll swap albums and replace with newer ones.

Great for photos, must agree

Got my missus one too..... she loves it too

The problem with the Screens and batteries were just on the first batch when they were first released.... something to do with a problem/bad batch from the supplier.

If you use itunes to upload your MP3 collection, make sure you have a backup of it on a seperate hard drive / computer.

Setting up a new computer at the weekend for a customer, installed itunes, and it will overwrite your ipod librbary with your media files on the pc. In this case - fook all

Exact same thing happened to lad at work!

New PC, forgot to turn the sync with iTunes off, and therefore synced the empty iTunes on the new PC over all his songs on the iPod, doh!

You can, but you need some software.

Search for 'ipodagent' or 'ephod' in Google

ipodagent will give you 30day trial, then you gotta register, ephod is free but uses a mac piece of software to communicate with pc, and that only had a 30day trial, so either program you get requires some registration along the lines somewhere, gits
