Not much, slightly stronger spark.

Worthwhile upgrade though, especially when you consider your old coil is years old

group A coil is totally different, has four plug lead points direct to the plugs, not one to the dizzy cap, take it your going distributor less ignition then.

That would be a coil pack then.

Not the 'gp A' coil sold by Mike R, Woodford & the usual suspects.

Ah well, must be tough for you

If it sells, they'll keep adding the tag onto anything they want.

p.s. Do you wanna buy some gp A wiper blades?

as one of the few owners of a genuine group A car its not tough, just more of an insult to what boreham actually designed manufactured campaigned and conquerd with, then they were closed down as if they meant nothing.

group A should mean just that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rant over.

PS Any news on the parts? DS

Tim,
sorry mate but part number 9095085 is a gpa coil that has a coil lead that goes to the cap, the later type is the one you describe,

perhaps was used on outside built three doors but not on works cars, martin you have to admit the term group A is used far to losely.
most people would be shocked if they saw a genuine group A car compared to a road car, they are tottaly different.

Tim,

I know where your coming from but they did use some standard items on the Grp'a' and WRC car...in particular the coil pack is a standard finis number....

agree with you about people using the gpa term for non gpa parts far too often
but i thought you were a touch unfair with your rant as the item in question is listed as a group a part which i reckon was used on early gpa sierra's and also no one mentioned which gpa car the coil was used on!!!
