Default Tempted to flog the Fiat.......

Very tempted to sell the car. Dunno why but just got that feeling at the mo. I wouldn't be able to get anything with any more performance tho due to insurance but I'd probably get away with an RST, however dunno if I'd want one, esp. since it would have to be around £1500 which would likely buy a nail.

I really miss my Clio I know it's French but the Fiat's a Fiat although to be fair it's a solid car and it's done me well so far.

My Clio did feel quicker to me tho. Not sure what to do really. To be honest an RST would be the only pre-96 car I'd go for.

Don't like S2's much tho, more an S1 man.

Ah well..... just thinking out loud

1500 quid gets you a pretty reasonable nova 20XE

as quick as a stnadard cossie or a 180bhp series 2

downside is its a crappy chavvy little nova, upside is it will satisfy your lust for speed, and specifically for at the ring

sub 9 min lap of the ring is possible in a fairly basic spec 2 litre nova, i bet less than 10% of the cossies and RST's going will manage that.

The fact it's a Nova and everybody would rip me to shreds ruins that idea

Well if it was at the ring and they were in a stage 3 saph, you would probably 30 seconds on your own before they got back to take the piss out of the car that just beat them!

147bhp Rick. It's not a bad car, just doesn't feel that exciting.

it's not really going to feel exciting. Maybe a Mk6 Rs2k? they are lovely cars.

i know you only like the rsts as a pre 96 car but thinkinging outside the box how about a rover turbo (tomcat or GSi) you can get alot of car for your cash

Yeah they are, but my present insurer is very strange. Despite insuring me on the Fiat, giving me quotes for 2.8i Capris/XR4s and then etc. they won't cover me on an RS2k.

It's ludicrous. The best one is how they will cover me on an ERST but not on an FRST

I had a Bravo HGT a few years ago, and I loved it. Fiats get a bad name but I couldn't fault it, not one bit. Gave a lot of Golf GTi owners quite a shock as well.

You're not wrong. I'm with Liverpool Victoria, the same company that quoted Graceland off here more to insure an RS2k than a Cossie, and then a month or two ago proceeded to ring him halfway through his policy and tell him he was no longer covered as his group 20 Cossie had gone up a group

You reckon? I went to look at Gary Scotts off here it was for sale- Nice car, right money. red top engine etc BUT I though it was dull and boring and not fast at all. ( no offence to the car like)
No where near as fast as my S2 with a chip and set up in fact.
Did I miss somet?

It was a valver yes, and I sold it cause it had a knackered gearbox

How weird is that? It was just such an awesome car to drive. Can't have been much quicker than the Bravo but it was just so much fun. It had a pipercross viper and a straight thru exhaust. Sounded the bollox. And it was on 17s:

Maybe I should just drop a Fiat Coupe Turbo lump into the Bravo?
