Default Greenflag recovery dont recover lowered cars!

as title
I meant to post this the other week.
My gearbox let go on the M74 coming down from Glasgow so I called Greenflag to get recovered and the cocksmoocher at their call centre asked if the car was lowered or had uprated suspension as they do NOT cover lowered cars and that if my car needed any special equipment ie: blocks of wood to aid loading that my cover was void!
They also refused to recover my car to anywhere other than my registered home address until they realised that the garage I wanted it recovered to was approx 100 miles away whereas home was 200 miles away.
May I take this opportunity to say a big FUCK YOU to GreenFlag!

Im with Privilege Insurance who do a recovery deal with GreenFlag but it was the GreenFlag call centre that told me about the no lowered cars clause.

green flag are wank end of, any excuse to not follw there policy

AA for me everytime, green flag actually PAID my first AA fee instead of recovering me to a garage of my choice that the offered in the policy as my home was closer

and i had the top policy too, what they done instead was paied the fees for the AA to recover me and joined me to them

cant beat the AA imo.

Coming back from National Day I had my Escos on my twin axle trailer and the wheel on the trailer snapped off on the motorway and I couldn't carry on so called the AA and they hoisted the trailer with the car on it onto their truck without question.....guy was a top bloke too, very careful and meticulous

should have bought an RS cam as if you were a fully opaid up RSOC member you would have got recovered for free and they have a special vehicle for lowered cars. Cant remember the name of the company that recovered me but it was outsourced i think.

Still it was free

They have been spot on with me in the past. Even got a specifically low flatbed for my pulsar (as the front end of the car was quite low) when I managed to fuck a tyre and the spare was too small .

i aint ever had any bother with green flag - used them 3 times with the cossie, and each time the recovery agent they franchised to sent the total lift with blocks of wood and all was good

Ran - whats this about free recovery when an RSOC member?

Ontime Recovery cant do shit either. Waited 9 hours with my limousine last friday for them due to blowing out 2 wheels. They came, they couldn't do, they fooked off still leaving me there - and the cheeky coonts have still charged Ł219 to my credit card....

Mine on AA Recovery last week arriving at Steve Scotts. Only thing I could fault AA with, they only had 2 small chocks to try and get my car on with, so we had to go hunting in a rubbish tip in some woods to try and find some suitable planks of wood

I was on my way to Scottys when the car decided to lose all it's coolant because of a split Samco

that's disgusting! I'd have gone ballistic!

My Dad broke down on Sunday and the RAC were with him within 15 minutes! Im with AA, used to use them a lot but haven't had to recently, generally they do a very good job.

What i've found in the past is the Recovery you get free with Insurance Companies has so many clauses that you're lucky if you can ever use the policy without paying extra (the one you used to get free with Diamond being prime example).

I guess you get what you pay for, if you take out a policy with AA or RAC you prob pay that bit more but you dont get let down as much - thats how I view it now anyway.

I'm with the AA as the missus Dad joined me up to say thanks for all the help I'd been with something

Can't really knock them apart from the time the came out to me when my mates Impreza blew up and they sent a front lift truck rather than a flat bed. We had to wait hours for them to turn up and then ended up waiting another couple of hours for the right lorry
