find a bracket or something solid on that side of the engine.

now when u turn the bolt anticlockwise the rope should tighten up on itself. this will stop the pully from moving and therefore the crank.
now u should be able to put ur socket on it and apply as much pressure as needed till it goes.
now i did this and snapped the rope twice, then i got another bit or rope and the blow tourch, and that time it went.

shocking it like that will help more then as well as the rope will increase the amount of force from the hammer get transfered to the bolt.
if u know what i mean.
how you think im holding the crank from turning

ive go it wrapped round the pully, the alt, the thermostat, the water pump the cam belt tensioner and also had nikki holding the rope, ITs TO FUCKING TIGHT

now for ways to slide of the cam belt as also good pain killers as the missus is really white right now and not saying anything

Yeah i was going to say.............some people have removed the washers previously. i guess you would just have to see.

Having said that I would still want to fit the washer if it was removed anyway.

the rope is flexing, not pulling though, as for the impact sockets there too long, needed a short one stop stop it slipping tbh

i WILL get it off some how, just im gonna get YOU told hold the rope instead next time cowie

Ginge, listen to Nick and do the right thing, they are brilliant for this sort of thing, better than impact wrenches I'd say as they have much more torque (not so good for tightening).

I rented a 100V powered de-walt impact wrench from HSS to do nat's and it worked a treat (cost £30 though ).

Halfords also do a loctite freeze and penetrate (ohh err missus) can. Might be worth a try, just make sure you let the bolt thaw out before hitting it, or you might bits of bolt/pulley on the floor...
