Computer related question.........
Right i sent a song to my gf over msn and when she got the song it wouldnt play, said somthing about its locked/blocked to protect her computer.
So i told her to right click on the tune go to properties and then to look on the box near bottom for a word that says unlock, because this is what i did when a song was blocked on my pc, but on hers she hasnt got an unlock option so what can we do to make it play? and it wasnt like the song i sent was locked either, it played straight away fresh from download on my pc?
I downloaded another song after and sent that but it was exactly the same.
Any ideas?

10K+ Poster!!
never came across a block/unblock option.
has she tried playing the file with something other than windows media player?
only other thing i can think of is that its DRM protected, ie you download from an official site which you paid for, which may mean it can only run on your machine as thats the one with the license on it.

Don't some sites allow you to download and use on your system, but if you try distributing the file then it won't work.
Sure I read about this a while back.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I think MP10 will play it if its DRM protected.
Only reason i say this is that I downloaded some track's from Tesco (5 free with an MP3 player I bought) and it wouldnt run on MP9. I downloaded 10, it downloaded the licence and played.
Copied it across via USB pen and played on my other machine, already running MP10, and it worked also.
I then checked the properties of the song and it said I had one more transfer available.

It wasnt from a paid site or anything, just downloaded from limewire, and like i said it was fine on my computer, didnt need to get a licence to play it.
