Default Pug 306 Door loom???

anyone whos know bought em know the door wiring is a nightmare for breaks etc, mines now started unlocking on its own and locking on its own too,its drivers door like most thats playin up, anyone any idea which of the 20 wires is the door locking wires save me replacing the lot ??

Danny, unplug the door loom, pop the door pins out of the hinges and get the door out of the way.

Peel the boot back and you should be able to see which wires are starting to break. Just solder them up.

Danny is it definatly the wire's.

I had the same problem, ended up it was the buttons that pop up and down to lock the doors. They were simply catching in the door....likely caused buy a build up of interior cleaning products.

I removed them and havent had the same issues since.

daz is there a chance it could be the plug though? pissing me off bad now so was gonna fuck the plug off and just bullet connector em lol

Usually not the plug unless water has got into it. The wires cracking is a very common problem.

andy means the lock pins - they sometimes catch causing similar problems

ok! when you open or lock the door there the locking mechanism pops up a button inside the car!

It is held in place by the door card!

If the button(for lack of a better word) sticks it will cause the solinoid to click on and off like you describe! The doors will lock then unlock causing what you describe above.

this morning i pressed key fob to unlock and it locked,unlocked,locked,unlocked for about wat seemed 5 mins you will be driving down the road then it will all of a sudden lock AND deadlock ill wip door off tmoz and get solder iron out lol

andy the plastic tops are also shite and wont stay on so it aint that as mine are in side panel lmfao, rods aint catchin on panel at top either and this locks on its own or more of a problem Unlocks on its own as i found out at the pleasure beach last week

So your on stage 2 off disfunctional central locking, haveing removed the (plastic caps/lockpins/buttons) hopefully i dont have the same hastles.
