Very impressive Gareth/Rich..........on a long slightly up-hill road you get used to a van losing speed/power but Bernie's transit just keeps accelerating - much like a stage 1 Cossie does

I used to own a Merc Sprinter Van (sold it to Steve Scott at A1 rally Sport)...was the high power 2.9 turbo/intercooled model - cannot recall how much BHP....but it was quick by van standards.......

Bernie's van is in another league .....On the road it would get many a Merc Sprinter Van driver thinking "what the f**k is that "

That's bird shit

Fuel economy must be painful though
Tell me about it IRO 18MPG on a run (fast run though )

Ever done in a quarter in it bernie? If so what does it manage?
No quarter mile Chip, but it'll hit over 70 by the top of Skimpot Hill (you need to know Luton for that one)

What 'box does it have, 6 speed sequential!
Standard Transit MT75 box, although have some other plans

The one i had a while back was indeed great fun and surprised everyone Remember the look on a poxy Boxter drivers face as i passed him on the motorway having flashed him out of my way at over a ton lol Mine had a T5 box but the biggest downer on the thing was the standard rear diff! It used to spin one wheel all the time and just didn't move lol With a decent slipper it would have been awesome and could carry half your house contents
