should be able to - the FM signal that radio's recieve isn't impedance dependant unlike some signals like UHF and VHF

As above, it won't do any harm, but you might not get too good a signal - try it.

look at it this way - if a coat hanger works on a shonky mk2 fiesta or an old montego then a tv aerial will be luxury

Doesn't work, crap reception
Need another cable routed in the same aperture in wall with an FM ariel to receive signal

i have my stereo plugged into the same aerial as my tv with just a double faceplate on the wall, and i've never had any probs

You can get a faceplate that splits the signal from one aerial into FM and TV, as above. Try that perhaps?

You get both, I'm talking about the ones that have FM and TV on the outlets - I think it tries to filter out the tv signal, which is over powering the FM, probably why James got a rubbish signal.
