Got a car dilemma, should I sell or stick with it?
Right, here's the deal. I bought an Escort Cabby 2 weeks ago. It's a mk5 with a 1.6efi engine. I was going to spend some money on it, getting a 2ltr zetec in it and an mtx75 gearbox etc, cosworth kit, new alloys etc etc.
If I did this I'd keep it next year when i get my no claims rather than change cars and it would take a few months before I could get the stuff done to it engine/box wise and to be honest it's just so slow and gutless that I find myself getting really angry driving it. BUT next year I could probably get my first cossie if I didn't stick with the cabby.....
SO.... I'm now thinking about selling the car on already and maybe buying a late model Saff (2.0, non cosworth) just to start getting used to RWD before moving onto the big power.
What would other people do? Bear in mind an engine and box swap in the cabby is something I'd have to pay a garage to do....
