Default what would cause my mouse to keep doing this?

Since a couple of days ago my mouse keeps going crazy going to the top corner every now and again, it even happens when playing san andreas and CJ just spins round and round for a few mintues

so far i have updated al the drivers,
changed the mouse for a new one, then updated drivers again
done 2 spyware sweeps (spysweeper and adaware pro)
virus check just to be sure
checked running processes etc just to be sure

so far i can find no reason for it but the fooker still does it

if its an optical mouse, try using it on a surface that isnt shiny - this will most likely be the problem

What mouse mat are you using? I've been told if you're using an optical mouse then the mouse mat needs to be plain as it picks up any patterns on a mouse mat and confuses it and makes it jump all over the place.

I used to have that problem, but since I stopped using a patterned mouse mat it has stopped

HTH

Cheers,

Dan

if you keep your mouse near your screen or speakers it could be that interfearing with it, just on the off chance as i use a work tablet which has a mouse and the curser will jult up and down every now and then. it sits just under my screen so it must be getting interfearance.
