hum... was wondering what would make you change from a CVH36 for a 285T2.
CVH36 is known for good mid range torque without losing too much top-end power.
285T2 is a laggy one that only goes "fine" over 14PSI of boost and only pulls from 4500rpm or so.
I'm choosing a new cam for my FRST and my choice was going on the CVH36. This topic now has got me confused.
I'm lost!!!

There have been issues of peopl eusing Kent cams and they actually being worn within 3000 miles - i.e no lobes left on them
I think that is why most seem to be swaying towards the piper 285t2 as they have the good rep and dont have any known issues with them

Cam wear happens because its a CVH. Its normal due to its bad head lub and it wears even soonner if the new cam had no running in.
Never heard bad things about kent's cam's from tunners. I would only rely on tunners expertise about this since they do it the right way.
