i have to hold the throttle fully open and turn my s1 over for 20+seconds before it'll even fire then it will tick over and cut out it needs re starting about 3 times before it'll idle.once its warm its ok unless you turn it off for more than 5 mins then it wont tick over until its been thrashed down the road.peed off with it now as my s2 always started first time in the morning and never had any problems can anyone help?
cheers kris
maybe idle mixture is a bit lean? errr, what does it idle at when its cold and what does it idle at when hot? maybe turn the idle up slightly if its about 800 (where most shuld idle) but helps it stay runnin when cold if its 900-1K unplug cold start valve (blue plug underneath inlet manifold at the back with a red fuel hose going to it)
Yeah disconnect your cold start first. Then try your thermo switch and temp sensor on and around your inlet manifold. If unsure of location the haynes does show ya.
mine started with a fooked temp sensor (was a bit of a pain to get it started tho when it was broke) but starts first tiem everytime now i fixed it!? lol
