Default Biatch fem copper tried to get me to hang myself .....

Wide open main road.

I overtook a slow moving car

(I'm in the family diesel car -lol)

Cop car was pulling out of police station car park on opposite side of the road.

I went past and cop car came after me

I kept at 30 mph until blues and twos came on.

I pulled over, got out of car straight away.

Went over to cop car and she said do you know why I pulled you over I said no.

I was then asked the speed limit on the road - I answer 30mph

I was then asked how fast I was travelling - I answered 30mph

Because I had no documents on me I was put into back of cop car

(As I got into car I noticed the speedo was a standard Peugeot (uncalibrated) speedo)

She then said I was speeding

At this point I commented "on what piece of equipment did you verify my speed as the speedo in the cop car is not calibrated and there was no other equipment in the car ?"

She said that I am correct and that she is only going to give me a producer.

If I had been intimidated by the cops and co-ersed into saying I was doing 35mph then I would have prosecuted myself.

Moral to story - check out the equipment in the cop car as you get in the back

It is actually a requirement to carry driving documents at all times !

A 7 day producer is the Police doing us innocent motorists a favour - lol lol

If she was on her own it wouldn't have stood anyway, it was her word against yours!

I had exactly the same thing driving my caged blue Mex lookalike driving to Finlake hillclimb early one Sunday morning.

Was driving in Newton Abbot & came up to this roundabout at the same time as a Police car from my left (so it was my right of way), ahead of me were a couple of other cars so was driving along at the same speed as the cars in front.
Got up to the next mini roundabout by the racecourse & on came the blue lights!

I pulled over & got out & she came up to me & told me that I was speeding, which I wasn't & told her so.
She tried telling me that I was doing 60 in a 40 zone, I told her I wasn't so she repeated herself, telling me I was doing 60, again I pointed out to her that I wasn't speeding & was going with the flow of the traffic.
Again she insisted that I was doing 60 when she stopped me, again I told her that I know that I wasn't!
This time she changed her story a bit & claimed I was doing closer to 50 but I was still speeding! Again I denied it, just as a Mk2 Golf GTi screamed into the industrial estate next to where I was pulled over so I pointed out to the police woman that he was speeding & questioned whether she would be going after him? She told me that she was dealing with me & may go after him after she's done!
After about 5 minutes she handed me a producer & sent me on my way, I pulled out & she followed me up to the next roundabout where I turned left, watching in my mirror to see if she was going to go around the roundabout to see if she would go back to see if she could find the Golf owner who WAS speeding, but instead of going back she turned right instead & let him get away!

lol - just found this on Google

http://www.stvincent.ac.uk/Resources...measuring.html

and I quote

"police speedometers are calibrated on a rolling road at regular intervals to ensure that they are accurate. Each car will have its own logbook and an entry will be made each time a calibration test is performed (usually at the police's own workshops)."

How do you know it hadnt been calibrated?

When I was up in court for speeding the Coppers confirmed their speedo had been calibrated by simple way of a measured mile at 60mph at the start of their shift and also at the end of their shift.
The court told me this was standard practice.

A calibrated speedo looks different to a manufacturers speedo - fitted in same place.

It also had a small sticker on the speedo face - similar to an electrical test cert sticker.

A run of the mill patrol car is very unlikely to have a calibrated speedo

A traffic car will deffo have a calibrated unit

I was pulled over by a patrol car

Yet another amazing fact - if I had got false plates on my car and sped off the patrol car cannot chase after me and has to call for a traffic car.
But because I am a law abiding cash cow I can be followed and pulled over by a patrol car

Read about the calibrated speedo cars in the 'drivers survival handbook'.

tells you you cannot get done by a patrol car as these do not get calibrated and need a cert to prove it.

Copper gave me a ticket for speeding, asked him if it had been done and he looked at me as if i had got one over on him.

Pleaded not guilty and never heard nothing.

How do you explain me getting pulled over by a marked motorway patrol car with a normal every day speedo in it? Which was calibrated in exactly the way I have described above?

A motorway car would have VASCA or similar speed check equipment fitted and would not require a calibrated speedo

BUT the speed check equipment WOULD have to be calibrated and a cert or log book kept

A measured mile is classed a calibration instrument

A calibrated time piece would also have been used

Distance x time = speed

It did have VASCA fitted but this was NOT switched on at the time, hence they prosecuted me based on the fact they followed me for over a mile over the speed limit based on their in car standard speedo that had been calibrated at the start and end of their shift by way of a measure mile.

I fought this all the way and the above stood up in court!

Clare

You are like me and the minority of drivers on the road - LEGAL !

We drive around with an i.d. badge on our cars (registration plates)

Because of this we become easy prey to goverment tax collectors sorry I mean police officers

Some we win - most we lose

i find that you should never admit to breaking the speed limit, even if you did and its obvious. i've got off 3 times when i've been pulled by panda cars and 2 time by traffic cars.

with the traffic cars i got lucky, hit 140mph with a T5 trying to keep up, he was on his own and didn't have his camera switched on, i just swore blind i was doing 70mph (only reason he caught me was because i slowed down). he knows i was speeding and so did i. i knew he couldn't prove it and my mates would back me up. you just got to take his telling off, look sorry and i always tend to get away with it.

granted, you feel like a prick looking in a coppers eyes with a big grin saying you were doing 70mph when he says "funny that, i hit over 100mph trying to catch you". its a blatent lie i don't see the point in admitting to speeding to them.

panda cars that are going the other way have no chance of proving your speed, the amount of times one has turned around, pulled me and than told me how quick i was going. they think your fucking stupid or something. some people must cough up though, otherwise they wouldn't try it.

Escy

I wouldnt mind but I wasnt speeding

She expected me to say "I was doing 35 - 40mph" and then I prosecute myself

Like you say - admit to nothing

We are all innocent until proven guilty

you have to be retarded if you admit to traveling over the speed limit!
Ive been pulled numberous times, one i remember was when i was fooking hooning it down an A-road in my mums car i was going about 95 IIRC and as i whizzed past the entrance to a hotel there was an unmarked car just setting up his camera, needless to say he followed me and pulled me.
he asked how quick i was going.. erm 60 officer!
his reply.. we both know you were going a lot faster than that... your lucky i didnt have my camera set up in time, next time ill throw the book at you now go..
He didnt even give me a producer!
