Default help needed cvh engine build question

hello peeps

need a pic or explaination on wich way round the conrods go

i.e into sequence 1234

does the curve at the bottom of the rods face each other

and the looking at the two middle rods should be straight

if you know what i mean

cus im buggered if i know also no diagrams in haynes

If your talking about std. rods they have an F which stands for front...

So the F should point towards the Oil pump end of the engine.

they are standard rods mate

they have been polished and shotpeened

never noticed a f on them will take a look tomorrow when im back down there

have u got a pic or diagram or anything i can relate to

The larger hole comes down to the crank and the smaller up to the pistons.

There for sure is a "F" halfway the rod that should face the oil pump. If you have pistons attached, then the larger cutout is for the inlet valve, so that shoud face the oil filter side.

What is the reason for front and rear?

Why do the rods have a fr and rr.??

Whats different about them???

Anybody?

Oil spray holes e.g. are on one side only.

The small groove that the bearings sit into should be on the inlet side as well if that helps out.
