Escort cossie worth - Rock bottom ????????
Is it me or has the prices of escort cossies fallen dramatically recently ??
Seen a few going for around £8000 to £10000 grand and they have been pretty good condition although not modified much.
I have been seriously thinking about selling mine for the last few months but at these prices better to keep it or break it I suppose.
I know mint concourse cars with low milage still fetch good money but it would seem that anything less that this, the market has bottomed.
Gutting to me as I paid £18000 for it 5 years ago.
It was an RSOC concourse car, with low miles (25000) and unmodified but now its very modded, high powered ish, and has one or two stone chips as I have given it a hard life on the track.
Had this car a long time and am bored with it.
Something I find hard to beleive I am saying as this was my dream car.

i wouldnt worry too much. People are looking for the same money 5 years on (£18000). Its fair to say you have had your fun and enjoyed it. Most people dont get that.
I cant see you loosing out too much tho?????

Didnt expect to get what I paid but it does now have some good bits on it !!!
Even now I dont think I would get over £10000 for it even with all the bling bits on it !

Got 13.5k for mine 2 or 3 months back, 50K on the clock with fsh and it was a motorsport model. I think good ones are still in demand to the right person...
Was a nice genuine car and i do miss it but needed the money.

I would say that Escort Cosworth prices overall seem to have dropped slightly recently, but the prices for standard or near standard cars seems to just keep going up and up.

yeah but its the same idea as the soliciters and plumbers argument
a solicitor gets a much higher wage than a plumber even though 1 is of more use
reason for it is soliciters all wont drop there price so ya have the choice of paying or dont get help
but with a plumber you will get a new plumber who will under cut ya and so ya get a price war
in a nut shell aslong as ya all ask the same money for the cars then peeps will buy em,,when a few undersell it sets a version of a president and then people think thats the going rate for a escos
i personally would rather a R32 than a escos cossie but then im wierd

and mine has 61k on the clock ( it is stunning tho ) an i said NO ,
Stunning escoss"s are still fetching BIG BIG money as a minter is hard to find now .
Big moded and hard driven cars are the cheap ones for sale
