Ok build is speeding up now....was gonna use the cometic multi layer gasket as have had no problems with one....OR should i go WRC at 3 times the price?
I have to weigh up cost as its likely once on boost it will fall apart anyway
Although i am stripping and preparing but letting MAD put it together due to wanting this put together no mistakes....as this is serious cash outlay!
Sorry to all you DIY fans...this is specced by me,taken apart and prepared by me and installed by me..but not put together by me
So semi DIY
To all that say "your a wanker" i will say "true, but then its not your money"
I will admit i aint got the bollocks to put it together this time round.

Neither if it was mine , but i suggest letting Mark make the choice as his names being used . Youve specced the motor but its up to him to keep it together and the Head Gasket and its fixings , is always the major Bone of contention and the first part to fail . Hope it turns out well mate

IMA- You specced the head work, cam profiles, compression ratio, exhaust housing size, and so on etc yourself did you?
What sort of reasons made you come to the conclusions you did that made you choose those parts?
Agree its a good idea for Mark to do it for you.
I do remember you trying to give me stick for having my engine built for me tho...

Totally Agree Brom ,
Ive blown every gasket known to man apart from a Properly machined Coopers engine ! And i know what still works in the world of race engines ,, even my wire rung Pinto block coped with 3 bar of boost for a while before it let go and i know yours did too .
horses for courses matey , a high powered roadcar engine that never gets a blast may as well have a std cosworth gasket in it , that wouldn't apply to an engine thats caned from warm up and is subjected to the most Arduous hostile enviroment of a race track for short blasts .

Cometic one should be fine at that level if both the surfaces are perfectly flat and its torqued to exactly the correct amount, they work very well but are extremely fussy about how they are installed.
But with the WRC one available and it being so strong, seems like the easy option to just use that instead, for the sake of a couple of hundred quid it seems like cheap insurance.
Whats your total spend on your engine so far mate, if its anything like the one im building (all DIY
) then im guessing you must have done the best part of 15-20 grand?
