Powerflow Exhausts
The backbox on my sapphy 4x4 is lookin a bit shabby at the mo.
Dont wannna go down the route of paying £300 for a new system.
My local powerflow dealer has says he can do me a new backbox for £45.
Dont have a clue what kind my current system is but will this work ok just bolted onto the back of my current middle ??
Middle and back was £165. Would i be better of with that ?
Anyone else got a powerflow on there cossie ? What they like ?

Dont know much about the Powerflo systems at all. You should be able to get a decent 2nd hand Mongoose / Scorpion for less than £200. Especially with the amount of Saffs being broken at the moment

I think Powerflow is a franchise or something...
I've only seen one and it wasn't very good at all, but if the franchise thing is correct then it will be as good as the guy who makes it.
Get a second hand mongoose or magnex - NOT a scorpion!
Neil.

Wouldn't wipe my arse on a Powerflow system
I've seen a few of them built and they have all been shonky crap fit for nothing better than stuffing under a base model Fiesta, Corsa or Saxo. They use a poor grade of stainless steel and the systems are made of sections welded together as oposed to being bent.
They seem to be thrwon together to look pretty at the back and make a nice noise with no consideration at all for flow/power or torque. Get a second hand anything else if I were you.

The system ive got works fine its just the backbox is all black and i dont think it will clean up well. It sounds like the dogs bollocks. Mechanic said it it is 'a big bore open exhaust ' ??
I just want a shiny back box
My point of view was u cant complain for £45 and you get to pick ur tailpipe.
Just wanna know if they perform ok on cossies but from what ur saying above then maybe no.
Its just the back box remember. Would changing just that affect my flow etc.??

Powerflow are inported south african standard exhausts....permzaust is the brand name of the same product....
They are very low grade stainless...and some dealers weld them with normal mild steel wire...this leads to the ones ive seen going prematurly rusty around the joints...the bends are very agricultural and imo could cause restiction..
All in all a load of shite...

Few of my friends have gone down the powerflow route and within 6 months they have all began looking for new systems due to the poor workmanship and the fact that they use aldi bean cans for their back boxes. They also didn't set the pressures right for twin outlet exhausts.
Stainless steel of a high grade should be non-magnetic. When they took their exhausts off you could pull the full system around our yard with the magnet off a 6*9 speaker!!
As always you get what you pay for, or you pay for what you get if your not careful!! Save up get a mongoose or magnex something decent!
