Tricky one this

Guess the CAR (make and model) and the price....clue: quite cheap.........


Engine: Chassis mounted Ford Zetec 1600 cc 16v engine, lightened & balanced, ARP big end bolts, ally sump, Cosworth 4x4 starter motor, ported & polished head, xxxxxxx Fast Road cams, Mocal remote oil filter, oil cooler, Omex rev limiter & shift light, xxxxxxxx engine management system, modified water rail, 4 branch exhaust manifold, alloy radiator, electric fan, twin 40 Dellorto carbs with K&N filters, Dunnell inlet manifold and twin cable linkage, electric fuel pump. Rolling road printout from John Wilcox showing just over 110 bhp @ the wheels.
Transmission: Standard Ford Sierra type 9 5 speed box, with quick shift, Competition flywheel & clutch, single piece prop to disc braked Talbot rear axle, with ally brace and 4:44 LSD.
Brakes: Front: Ford M16 calipers with vented drilled & grooved discs. Rear: Ford XR3 calipers with vented discs, hydraulic fly-off handbrake, Wilwood bias proportioning valve.
Suspension: Front: Bilstein standard platform competition struts, tarmac springs, and roller bearing top mounts. Ford hubs with long studs. Rear: Bilstein shocks and tarmac springs.
Shell: Seam welded and strengthened - all strong and solid - no rot ! Car originally had a sunroof but this has been plated over (not filled!), all steel panels & glass windows. Fitted with a Safety Devices 6 point bolt-in roll cage, with diagonal & doorbars, and an additional belt/harness bar, welded in seat rails. Ally sump guard, steel tank guard, 3 spoke steering wheel, quick rack, 2.25 ltr Spa AFFF plumbed in extinguisher, 2 ltr AFFF handheld, TAS f/g battery box (behind drivers seat), lamp brackets. Drivers seat: Corbeau Forza sport 2000 (as new), with Luke 2” 4 point aircraft belt (as new). Co driver: Magnum seat (good), with 2” 4 point Corsa sport belt (good). Aircraft type ignition button, checker plate floor plates, Racetech guages, co-drivers footrest, air horn, warning triangle, first aid kit, sos board etc etc. Car is sat on Ford RS type 4 spoke alloys (red), with Colway intermediate tarmac tyres.
Car was MSA logbooked just under 1 year ago, and has done 5 rallies, 4 of which were smooth tarmac, incuding 2nd in class on xxxxxxx rally. Comes with short MOT.

Maybe Rob - you and Chip keep telling me that your Astra CSL is much faster......so why would you want a ride in a slower car ???
