Yeah a rad can go no matter of mileage, becasue... even though there is anti-freeze in the coolant, evetually does rust and leak, if that was wrong with it.
As for garage ornaments, My S1 just sits there with a sheet over it, never use it, hence the mileage is super low on it and will pull high money if i went to sell it.
As for that RS500, i would buy it if i had the money at the moment and store it, would be silly to use such a rare minted car worth ŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁ.
But its everyone to there own.

At the end of the day, at some point in time someone will always come along with as much money as they need to buy THE best RS500 available. Ł25k isn't so much to ask really!
Imagine if there really is any truth in those tales you always hear about RS500s locked up in garages from new with delivery miles only

i once delivered a m3 from germany to a chap who had a rs500 and a lotus carlton in his garage with next to no mileage on them both had been delivered to him on transporter & had been put in his garage under cover & never used again, was back in the mid nineties, i still have to drive past now & again & often wonder if they're still there

put the price of a new rs500 in the bank when they first came out.....and it wouldn't be worth as much as that rs500 is now......
and you don't need to pay tax on it like you do your savings......and it's a lot better to look at than a bank statement, lol

Lovely.
I can understand the price tag especially when S1's are pulling 10K for low mileage minters.
I do minimal mileage in mine, bought it as an investment and a hobby, and as Dave says above - much nicer to look at in the garage than the cash!

DECODING JIBBA JABBA!!
i know of a black rs500 thats been sat in a barn not 10 miles from me since late 1988 less milage than that one, blokes not interested in selling it. just happy in the fact that he's got one.
i bought my escos last year with 7k on the clock, just over 11k now but very rarly use it, so far since last oct it's been to bedford rsoc day and about 30miles more.
