Angry Heater problem.

Can anybody give me inform on a problem I have with my car hearter. It work hot and cold But the last couple of days,. ONLY works on No.4.can anybody help (inform) Paul.

Hi a new switch is often needed if you wiggle or push the switch and flick between 1.2.3. it may work for a moment, and identify your faulty part,

Hi Paul, since your blower only works on the highest speed setting, I'd replace the blower motor resistor. I believe that's the first thing to check in a situation like that and its pretty cheap to replace.

Just as GVK says, the resistor is on the heater box, it has some wires going in to it and is held in by a screw, if you remove the wiring clip and the screw the resistor should come right out. You put the new one in, screw it on, clip on the wiring and test for proper operation of the blower motor. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on

What make of car is it?? I know of some cars where the heater resistor has been locked by a passenger and stopped them from working.

Focus 02, some of the members have said what it could be. Just have not getting around to get the part just now. But it will not wait, it is going to have to be done ASAP Paul.

9 times out of 10 it will be the resistor.

Thanks, I just need to get one then fit it. Just the sellers on ebay don't have good rating, so will have to visit the scrap yard I think thanks for you help Paul.
