My other halfs 1999 Puma has a problem, well technically it's 2 problems but they may be related
When you squirt the windscreen washers it sounds like they are empty and only a little bit of water comes out (it is full and it is not frozen!)
The second part is the heaters/aircon, when you drive under 40mph ish the heater and aircon work fine but when driving for a while or if you speed above 40mph the temperature is constantly hot and not cold
Has anyone had a similair problem or have any suggestions please.
Many thanks

As far as the heater goes, where I used to work we had a load of Fiesta vans, on one or two of them the heater valve gave up - leaving them on constant hot.
I believe the later Fiesta - and we can asume probably the puma aswell - have a water valve controling the heater and not a cable operated flap like most cars.

The washer bottle usually has a filter in the bottom where the pump sucks the water. This gets blocked by the residue from the screen wash after a few years of use. Take it out and clean it. Problem solved. Worse case - buy a new filter but you shouldn't need to. Check with a pin (as above) that the jets are clear but as you say some water comes out - it's most likely the filter thing.
Not sure about the heater but the control valve thing sounds good. Try ringing your Ford dealer and asking - they're often quite helpful.
