Brands Hatch 4 bar map sensor

It can be used but i think james or someone else said the range is a bit big to get a suitable signal resolution on the old webber ecu if that makes sense.
Edit: and you would need a 4 bar sensor specific map.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Off this post a bit but regarding Chinese made goods there seems to be no middle road with their stuff, its either top quality which is as good as anything made from top producers or really poorly made crap.
I have recently fitted a new turbo on my Sons Subaru Impreza WRX STI made by Mamba and the engineering quality of it is superb. Came with all the testing information done in the factory as well. We also bought a tuned length exhaust manifold and again were suprised at the top quality of it.
My Brother bought a Chinese lathe and he said its as good as anything he has had in the past made in America and he has been an engineer all his life.
Chinese made electronics are in most big brand names of TVs, music systems etc and most people are probably not even aware of it.
The other end of the scale is the piss poorly made cheap crap that is flooding the country from China that a lot of us have come across. This is probably why most people wrongly assume all stuff made in China is rubbish.

As cossy says....there is no real middle of the road.
The stuff is usually shite, or good. More usually the former.
I've tried a few cheap sensors for various things ( never actual engine control though, just logging ). One failed after 2 days, and was replaced under warranty. The second failed again after a few days.
I tried one of the cheap 4 bar GM copy MAP sensors for logging some stuff....the sensor body actually melted from engine heat and came apart.
Although same with any such sensor, it's just a PCM mount sensor stuffed into a larger external body and in that case glued together with cheap glue.
Over in the US there are many reports of the cheap GM copy sensors failing.
Although no doubt there are thousands out there working too. What do you do ? Risk an engine for same of spending say £100 vs £30 ?
In the US, most are now just starting to use the GM ZR1 3 bar sensor ( which suits a lot too as it simply bolts into the intake, which would need to be adapted for any other applications )
But it's a cheap OEM sensor so you know it will be reliable

EU sourced ? ( I've used this myself and it seems to be ok )

Or if you search Bosch 4 bar sensor, there are dozens of listings from VW type applications, although mostly diesels, but commonly re-used elsewhere.
Again a bolt in design and many of them also incorporate an air temp sensor.
