Off this post a bit but regarding Chinese made goods there seems to be no middle road with their stuff, its either top quality which is as good as anything made from top producers or really poorly made crap.
I have recently fitted a new turbo on my Sons Subaru Impreza WRX STI made by Mamba and the engineering quality of it is superb. Came with all the testing information done in the factory as well. We also bought a tuned length exhaust manifold and again were suprised at the top quality of it.
My Brother bought a Chinese lathe and he said its as good as anything he has had in the past made in America and he has been an engineer all his life.
Chinese made electronics are in most big brand names of TVs, music systems etc and most people are probably not even aware of it.
The other end of the scale is the piss poorly made cheap crap that is flooding the country from China that a lot of us have come across. This is probably why most people wrongly assume all stuff made in China is rubbish.
