OFAC map sensor, XR2i Map sensor
Hey guys, i put up on ebay a map sensor that i thort was from a OFAC EFI system, sum1 msg'd me sayin it was from an XR2i, arent they used on both OFAC system on the Fiesta turbo and the XR2i?
Problem is sum1 has bid on it now!, crap. Hope i'm not wrong....

well thats funny cos ofac cant measure that much anyway. its ofab that can run high boost.
I know they are different mate and i would say the one you have is a 2i one, but dont just take my word for it lets see if anyone else can help.

Can't find a good picture of an OFAC sensor at the moment - but this auction has the correct one:

There's a couple of easy ways to tell - firstly the shape is different - XR2i ones are rectangular whereas the OFAC ones are wider at the bottom than the top. Second;y the OFAC ones have a part number on a sticker - white writing against a black background. The XR2i ones have a moulded part number.
Ordinary XR2i MAP sensors cannot register boost. I believe they read the same at vaccum but that's it. Consequentially an OFAC ECU will idle with a XR2i MAP sensor but as soon as it comes on boost the mixture will lean right out and you could melt a piston.

Thanks for the response guys! I'm not willing to sell it to someone else who doesnt know anything and it f**ks up their car! I was a bit unsure and i'm glad i asked!
